We are delighted to welcome Genevieve Riley to the West of England AHSN team as Senior Programme Manager to lead our new Insight and Evaluation function.
An experienced social/health sciences researcher, for the last three years Genevieve worked with Public Health Wales as a Senior Researcher for Evaluation and Impact, most recently supporting rapid evaluation and behavioural insights as part of the Welsh response to Covid-19.
Having started her career in animal health life sciences before moving onto roles in the pharmaceutical sector, Genevieve has worked in the NHS for the last 17 years. Much of this time was leading research and development for the 2gether NHS Foundation Trust (now Gloucestershire Health and Care) where she worked across the traditional NHS boundaries to develop research portfolios in mental health and learning disabilities for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
Genevieve is an experienced trial manager, Principal Investigator for the NIHR portfolio, and holds two MScs; one in Public Health and most recently from the NHS Leadership Academy. She is currently undertaking her Doctorate studies in Social and Public Policy at Cardiff University.
The AHSN’s new insight and evaluation function will be a core element of our support for the West of England innovation pipeline, offering the ability to validate promising innovations in real world settings in collaboration with our local integrated care systems. It will also strengthen our capability to measure and track operational performance for our local projects and programmes.
