NHS Discharge Forum 2022

The NHS Discharge Forum 2022 will explore how to improve hospital discharge and patient flow to address waiting times and improve patient experience, while ensuring patient safety. Prior to the pausing of the published delayed transfers of care statistics, there were over 155,000 delayed days in February 2020, with almost 60% of those attributable to the NHS. The unique challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic led to the need to release capacity across the NHS, disrupting existing discharge practices.

This forum will provide best practice guidance and practical case study examples to support you in implementing effective systems across health, social care and beyond so people can leave hospital at the right time, to the right place, with the right support.
