NHS England’s InHIP aims to address local healthcare inequalities experienced by deprived and other under-served populations.
In 2021, NHSE launched wave 1 of their Innovation for health inequalities programme. As part of this programme, Health Innovation West of England worked closely with clinical and non- clinical partners to develop and deliver projects within BNSSG and BSW that would support lipid optimisation in deprived and underserved cohorts.
Following the successful completion of InHIP wave 1 projects, NHSE have recently launched InHIP wave 2. This offers the chance to build upon the wave 1 projects to expand the HIN support into other conditional areas. HIWE are currently scoping a project around CVD prevention and optimisation within the community.
