The West of England Genomic Medicine Centre – Launch Event

The West of England Genomic Medicine Centre is proud to be celebrating its launch with an event being held on the 26th September at the Learning & Research Building at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.  The event will be supported by a key note speech delivered by Professor Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer at NHS England and will include important updates on the progress of this exciting area of development within the region.  During the afternoon workshop sessions will be held on a variety of topics to facilitate understanding and development of key areas of the GMC. The programme for the event can be downloaded here WE GMC – Launch Event – Programme – v1.0

To support the launch across the wider region the GMC will be conducting a series of ‘drop-in’ roadshows sessions.  These will be held at all provider organisations across the region so if you are unable to attend to the launch event in Southmead then make a note of the dates and times below as the core West of England Genomic Medicine Centre team will be available for queries and discussions at the locations/events/times listed below and would love to see you there:

• University Hospitals Bristol – Bristol Royal Infirmary, Welcome Centre – main entrance, 1pm to 4pm – 30th September 2016
• Gloucestershire Hospitals – Annual General Meeting – 1pm to 4pm approx – 1st October 2016
• Royal United Hospitals, Bath – main hospital reception area, 2pm to 4pm – 6th October 2016
• Weston Area Health Trust – main hospital reception area, 1pm to 4pm – 11th October 2016
