The latest progress report from People in Health West of England examines recent work to encourage better representation of children and young people in health research.
Children and young people are often under-represented in consultation exercises and finding ways to access them can be difficult. Researchers into children’s health in Bristol were in danger of losing two separate projects involving children and young people (CYP) in health research.
To ensure the continuation of this valuable resource, Bristol Health Partners stepped in to provide direct support in the form of a Patient and Public Involvement facilitator. The first task was to find out what groups existed and then to identify ways of working together to ensure they were all viable.
This report covers the period from 1 April 2015 to 5 April 2016. Download it here.
