Living in the IoT: Conference, Exhibition and Forum

As part of the IoTUK programme, Digital Catapult and PETRAS alongside the IET are delighted to invite you to our Living in the Internet of Things conference and exhibition, 28 – 29 March 2018 at IET London: Savoy Place.

This event is a unique opportunity to explore the impact of the Internet of Things upon the UK while exploring its current successes and challenges. Be inspired, hear some of the best and brightest innovators, academics and business people discuss IoT and network with like-minded people.

What can you expect?

The IoTUK exhibition and forum will focus on how the internet of things is changing the world around us: how citizens are responding to the IoT deployments in smart cities, how complex ecosystems are being created which combine business, academia and the public sector to deploy IoT technology; considerations around privacy, security, risk and trust in IoT and more. There will also be an opportunity to network with key players in the IoT industry. This event is free to attend but requires registration as number of attendees is limited.

What is IoTUK?

IoTUK is a programme of activities led by Digital Catapult and Future Cities Catapult. Our aim is to advance the UK’s global leadership in the Internet of Things (IoT), ensuring that there is increased adoption of high quality IoT technologies and services which have the ability to transform businesses and the public sector.

IoTUK works closely and coordinates with the organisations appointed to deliver public funding, including with Manchester’s smart city demonstrator CityVerve; PETRAS and the NHS IoT test beds.

What is PETRAS?

The PETRAS Cybersecurity of the Internet of Things Research Hub explores social and technical aspects of cybersecurity of the Internet of Things. The hub focuses on critical issues in Privacy, Ethics, Trust, Reliability, Acceptability, and Security (PETRAS). A consortium of nine universities PETRAS is led by UCL and includes Imperial College London, Lancaster University, University of Oxford, University of Warwick, Cardiff University, University of Edinburgh, University of Southampton, and University of Surrey.
