Event summary
How do you become an innovator & where do you take your ideas?
The one day Connection Event is designed for early stage innovators who have an innovative healthcare proposition in mind and would like develop their ideas.
The goal of the event is to provide innovators with an insightful and comprehensive introduction to the techniques and processes of taking an innovative business idea to maturity in an NHS setting.
We will hear from experienced healthcare innovators both from within the NHS and from outside who have successfully built healthcare businesses from a start-up position.
The programme
The agenda for the day will include:
- Stimulating the emergence of innovative business ideas
· Encouraging individual/ small teams of innovators to deliver successfully
· Debating the merits, issues and perceived conflicts in respect of encouraging innovators to take their ideas forward whilst at the same time being paid employees of the NHS
· Appreciating the complexity and challenges of procurement in the NHS.
The event will conclude with a series of “clinics” where those who wish to can enter more detailed discussions with the SETsquared expert team and members of the West of England AHSN.
