Steve Carefull, Director, PA Consulting Group

Find out how PA is driving transformation in adult social care through innovation and technology here.
Steve Carefull is a Director with PA Consulting Group, where he leads the firm’s Adult Social Care work. He is also Programme Director for the multi award-winning Argenti Telehealthcare Managed Service. This innovative partnership has transformed the way care technology is deployed, helping tens of thousands of people to live safer and more independent lives; it has also saved millions of pounds net to date by reducing reliance on more traditional forms of social care. Argenti delivers care technology for Hampshire, Barnet and Essex councils and provides advice and support for care technology services seeking to maximise the benefits of TEC.
Steve is a regular commentator on social care, often challenging commissioners to demand more from technology as a key component of their care ‘offer’. He believes that the emergence of inexpensive consumer-oriented connected devices, like Amazon’s Echo (which is provided to people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments in Hampshire), will fundamentally change what people expect from digital care services.
Mary Lewis, Director of Nursing and Therapies and Quality and Governance Administrator.
North Somerset Community Partnership, Tickenham Road, Castlewood, Clevedon, BS21 9AX
Prior to joining North Somerset Community Partnership in 2016 as Director of Nursing and Therapies, Mary worked at the Royal United Hospital in Bath as Deputy Director of Nursing.
Mary trained at Great Ormond Street and Middlesex Hospitals in a combination of adult and children’s nursing. On moving to Bristol she worked at Bristol Children’s Hospital and then as a Health Visitor in Bath. Mary then developed and led a community nursing and clinical psychology team for children with long-term and life threatening conditions for many years (working across Wiltshire, Bath and the wider Bristol area) – The Lifetime Service – before taking on the role of Executive Nurse with Bath and North East Somerset Primary Care Trust. www.nscphealth.co.uk
