Join us as we explore social impact innovation through the Create Open Health initiative.
This event explores and showcases the inaugural Create Open Health programme brought together by the Wellcome Trust, Creative England and the West of England AHSN. This open innovation initiative was launched to find new entrepreneurial talent with digital ideas, solutions or products that could help build resilience in young people and support positive mental health – all through community enablement, empowerment, communication and collaboration. The project team have worked closely with mental health charity Off The Record to help shape and guide the development of the programme in order to rapidly develop early stage ideas into potentially viable solutions.
Create Open Health utilised innovative outreach methods to engage with a broad and diverse participant group, making innovation relevant to all and help to develop a solution addressing key challenges faced by the NHS today – supporting positive mental health and wellbeing of young people.
This event will demonstrate the practical side of delivering a programme such as this, alongside exploring the future of social impact tech innovation. We’ll be bringing together expertise from within the healthcare sector, plus tech companies who are already working in this space, alongside investors, mental health charities, and businesses from across the region.
This will also be an opportunity to meet the participants of the Create Open Health programme and find out more about their innovative digital ideas. We will also be inviting along a fantastic lineup of speakers, including the Wellcome Trust, the Social Tech Trust and Triodos Bank.
