The West of England Academy offers a range of free resources to help you gain knowledge and develop essential skills for innovative thinking and working. We promote the use of quality improvement methodologies to support delivery of better patient care.
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR CORE IMPROVEMENT SKILLS TRAINING (FEBRUARY – MARCH 2025)
This series is a 3 x full day sessions running in 2025 at Engineer’s House in Clifton, Bristol.
- Design Thinking – Wednesday, 12th February 2025
- Principles of Project Management – Tuesday, 4 March 2025
- Developing Confidence in Facilitation – Thursday, 27 March 2025
Join us at the Facilitation Training Session on Thursday, 27 March 2025. By participating in this session, participants will be able to:
- Plan appropriate group processes to support innovative transformation work
- Select processes that foster open participation with respect for participant diversity
- Create a climate of trust and safety
- Prepare time and space to support group processes e.g. arranging appropriate space and logistics, planning effective use of time, and provide appropriate atmosphere to support the purpose of sessions/ meeting
- Create and sustain a participatory environment to encourage creative thinking
- Guide groups to appropriate and useful outcomes
Who can apply?
The Academy is for all health and care professionals, front line, support services and commissioners, plus innovators living, working or planning to work in the West of England.
We run free learning events as well as bespoke support for those needing specialist advice on our services.
