Event summary
Entrepreneurs participating the pitching are from the recent Health Innovation Programme. SETsquared, Europe’s No. 1 University Business Incubator, has teamed up with the Academic Health Science Network to deliver this revolutionary new training programme to develop the next generation of health innovators.
The four pitching projects are:
Elzware – Re-introduction of patient transport, development of Maxi Buld acid containers for Haemodialysis, FiRBit
Inclusive Media Solutions – A product is designed to help people with cognitive difficulties utilise the power of mobile technology to be independent in day to day life. A unique QR code system is developed empowering users to scan ANY item around their home with a smart device and it plays a video of how to use for example; scanning the kettle with an iPad and it plays a video of how to make a cup of coffee.
New Level Health – The Digital Health SW CIC ( DHSW CIC ) to act as a conduit between the members of the SW Digital Health Cluster , commissioning bodies, end users and funders. Its prime aim will be: “To deliver better health and wellbeing into the community through technology and service innovation” with an emphasis on the Ageing Population.
ESP IT Consultancy Ltd – A digital communication system to enable handover of care across sectors in real-time. This innovation would support the urgent and emergency care pathway, where a patient who has been seen by a healthcare professional needs to be seen and assessed by another healthcare professional urgently or as an emergency. The system is based on applications that are supported by a mobile messaging platform.
