Event summary

Applicants to the recent Evidence into Practice 2024 call are invited to attend a series of workshops that have been developed in response to the most common needs identified in the application process. Applicants are invited to register for as many of the workshops that interest them.

Workshop attendees will be from a variety of sectors working on a range of innovative projects that improve healthcare.

Attendees will be interested in developing their projects for other people to adopt and can invite their project colleagues to register for the workshops with them.

What are the workshop themes?

  1. Identifying Essential Elements and Supporting Adoption

Join Kate Phillips, Senior Project Manager and Vardeep Deogan, Senior Continuous Improvement Manager and Coach, for this interactive online workshop where Evidence into Practice applicants are invited to apply learning about supporting adoption and spread directly to their own projects during the workshop in order to gain a better understanding of what is unique to their work and how they can help others adopt and understand it.

  1. Continuous Improvement

Join Kate Phillips, Senior Project Manager for an interactive bitesize workshop on improving the delivery of your innovation using an approach called quality improvement. Attendees will be introduced to this way of working and there will be time in the workshop to apply their learning directly to their project. A summary of the Health Innovation West of England Academy resources for ongoing independent study will also be provided.

  1. Communications Planning

This interactive training session will take you through the seven steps of planning a communications strategy. Led by Vanesther Hamer, Heads of Communications, Health Innovation West of England, this course will take you through the basics, from outlining your objectives to monitoring and evaluation. The workshop is limited to 6 people per session, therefore please only send one person from your team to attend. The workshop will be repeated on the 23rd and 24th September so please book onto the one session that works for you. If both sessions become fully booked, we will release a third date.

  1. Evaluating Services: creating a roadmap to measure innovation change

Join the Health Innovation West of England Evaluation and Insight team as they deliver a series of three workshops to help propel your project by understanding and demonstrating impact. Evidence into Practice applicants are invited to attend one, two or all three of the workshops. You are welcome to invite members of your project team to join you and to register for these workshops.
