Event summary
Please join us and colleagues from across the West of England and South West regions at our combined Safety Improvement Network (previously known as Local Learning System) virtual event (hosted on Microsoft Teams) on Thursday 30 July 2020, 10:00 – 12:00. Our Network event is an opportunity to interact and discuss with colleagues working to improve maternal and neonatal care across the local maternity systems, and a forum for local improvement to thrive. We will be focussing some of our time on the system wide improvement we have previously agreed with you all, Smoke Free Pregnancies; a key areas of focus for the national safety programme.
We plan to share the revised specification of the National Maternity and Neonatal Safety Improvement Programme (MatNeoSIP) at this network event and collaborate on a regional approach to delivering it.

Our aim in the Safety Improvement Network is to inspire your improvement projects, act as an encouragement to network learning and sharing with each other, and give you all the tools you need to go back to the shop floor and make that improvement project happen.
Our Safety Improvement Network is one of the vehicles for our regional delivery of the Mat/NeoSIP whose mission is to create and embed the conditions for all staff to improve the safety and outcomes of maternal and neonatal care by reducing unwarranted variation and provide high quality healthcare experience for all women, babies, and families across England. We would like to invite representation from across the maternity and neonatal workforce particularly doctors, midwives, nurses, support workers, health visitors, public health leads as well as commissioners, and women and their families. As this is a virtual event, there is no limitation on the number of participants, so we would welcome engagement from those who have had limited exposure to the Quality Improvement or the MatNeoQI programme that pre-dated the current Maternal and Neonatal Safety Improvement Programme.
This event is open to all across the West of England and South West regions including services in Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Swindon, Gloucestershire, Stroud, Cheltenham, Bath and Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall & the isles of Scilly
A MS Team invite would be sent to you 24hrs prior to the event.
We hope you can join us and contribute to this sharing event.
