NEWS2 – A progress update

The West of England region has been working collaboratively over the last three years to standardise and implement the National Early Warning Score. This event will support the current transition to the updated tool, NEWS2.

The programme is designed to give delegates a system wide update on the roll out of NEWS2 across the West of England, including an opportunity to learn from organisations which have already gone live with the updated tool.

There will also be the opportunity to share and learn from good practice, as well as network with colleagues from across the region working on similar projects.

Delegates will be updated on the current progress of the project across the region and learn from  the experience of implementing NEWS2 in other organisations.

We will also be hosting our second Standardising our Approach to Improve End of Life Care through the Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment (ReSPECT) event in the morning at the same venue. Delegates across the region will be able to celebrate in the success of this collaborative working project which continues to grow and expand across the health system and has been recognised nationally as an example of good practice.
