South West Academic Health Science Network Announces Patient Safety Launch Pad – a New Patient Safety Personal Development Programme
The Patient Safety Collaborative at the South West Academic Health Science Network (SW AHSN) has announced that applications are now open for its 2017 Patient Safety Launch Pad.
The Patient Safety Launch Pad is a five-day programme, spread across nine months. It is a bespoke version of the SW AHSN’s successful Accelerated Patient Safety Officer Programme and is designed to support delegates in implementing a patient safety and quality improvement (QI) plan at ward, unit, hospital or system level. It will be delivered by a team of leading QI experts from across the region and UK, and is free of charge to delegates within the South West.
The Patient Safety Launch Pad offers the following to health and care professionals:
- Five days of dedicated training spread over the year
- The LIFE system – to effectively monitor and manage QI improvement plans
- The SCORE survey – to measure the safety culture of your team and organisation
- Ongoing mentoring and coaching between your learning sessions
- Communities of practice to support improvers
- Support in spread and adoption and implementation science
The dates for all training sessions are as follows:
Monday 15 & Tuesday 16 May 2017 – Mercure Southgate, Exeter
Monday 18 & Tuesday 19 September 2017 – St Mellion, Cornwall
Tuesday 30 January 2018 – Monks Yard, Somerset
