About this event

Due to popular demand, and following a successful first series held in October, we are now organising a second series to be held in November/December.

Do you, or does someone you care for, live with a bladder or bowel condition? Would you like to help us initiate positive change in attitudes, treatment or management of the condition?

Bladder and bowel conditions are very common, affecting more than 1 in 5 people which is, in fact, more common than hay fever and we know the symptoms significantly affect quality of life.

We invite you to join us for a 90-min online workshop with experts who understand the condition, where you will be able to share your experiences.

There is a choice of timings:

  • Monday 29 November 1:30pm – 3:00pm
  • Wednesday 1 December 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Please book whichever time is most convenient for you.

With your help, we hope to better understand the day-to-day challenges faced by those affected, so that we can work with partners to develop innovative healthcare solutions, with the potential to initiate meaningful and enduring change.

During the workshop, and with your permission, we will create written statements and illustrations, to document the challenges and bring them to life.

By really understanding the challenges and ambitions of those affected, we will have the right foundations to develop a solution that might make a real difference to people’s lives.

The West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) is working in partnership with the Bladder and Bowel Confidence (BABCON) network and Disruptive Thinking.
