If you’d like to be part of research to improve the effectiveness of healthcare apps for patients we’d love to hear from you.
We’re working with local researchers to understand the unintended consequences of using digital health tools in primary care – both positive and negative. The researchers are based at the National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care West (CLAHRC West).
We are inviting healthcare app developers to give views through a very short survey on hyvr, our online social media platform for healthcare innovation. We are particularly interested in the use of apps to manage long-term conditions.
Patients, practice staff and commissioners have already been interviewed for the research. Findings will contribute to new guidance for development and use of healthcare apps for patients, healthcare professionals, policymakers, developers and researchers. The new guidance will aim to improve the development, implementation and evaluation of healthcare apps and other digital health tools in primary care.
To take part, follow the link below and you’ll be asked to register for hyvr and answer a short questionnaire – the whole process should only take five minutes.
Once registered you’ll be part of a ‘hive’ – a discussion group – with other hyvr users who are also interested in healthcare apps.
hyvr is an online social media platform for healthcare users, healthcare innovators and healthcare professionals to meet, discuss, collaborate and co-design new healthcare ideas, products and services. In short, crowd intelligence.
